Prophetic Perspective for 2020

Prophetic Perspective for 2020

The Great Exchange

In prayer recently, I heard the Lord say that 2020 was the time of the great exchange.  In my asking, He elaborated further:  “2020 will be the year where many pastors and leaders will walk away from their roles within the church to pursue the true dream of God on their heart within media and the marketplace. They will walk away from the church positions that they were good at, but not made for, and fully into where they are called to be.  Many of these leaders have been counting the cost in private; the cost of ridicule, rejection and reproach from the church because they are leaving “the ministry.” The reality is, that they will be stepping into their greatest ministry efforts as they shift into these long-standing assignments that they are just now taking hold of.

The other side of this great exchange will be the shifting of media/marketplace men and women into five-fold ministry roles.  Just like the others, these people were made to teach, preach, prophesy, evangelize and build the church, and they know it, but they’ve been afraid of the rejection that will come from their friends and peers once they make that move. The Lord says. “Do not be afraid because I have judged that fear and arrested it, making you free to run. This is the establishing of proper leadership and solid structures for the advancement of the Gospel across many spheres. Yes, I have a remnant within the church, but I this remnant is not limited to the four walls of the church. This remnant of believers exists within in every sphere of society.  They’re coming into their rightful positions not only to help birth revival, but for the purposes of properly watching over, stewarding and sustaining this next move of My Spirit.”

The Lord gave me a few verses that characterize the leaders of this great exchange:

And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them.  – Psalm 78:72

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.   – Proverbs 4:23

For lack of guidance a nations falls, but victory is won through many advisers.   – Proverbs 11:14

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.  As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.   – Isaiah 55:8-9

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.  – Psalm 32:8

Discernment

The church will be divided by discernment.  Discernment is one of the spiritual gifts, and includes the supernatural ability to distinguish between different spirits and recognize what is from God and what is not. Discernment also empowers us to judge well, recognizing the consequences of our decisions. God is calling His people to discern on a higher frequency.  We will clearly see a great divide between those that discern rightly and those that operate without discernment. He gave me three key verses pertaining to the topic of discernment:

1 Kings 3:9  So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong.  For who is able to govern this great people of yours?

1 Samuel 16:7  But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him.  The Lord does not look at the things people look at.  People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

1 Thessalonians 5:21  but test them all; hold on to what is good,

Many in media will be led to the Lord by those that discern rightly this year.  The Lord is opening up opportunities for believers to have kairos encounters with “the rich and famous” for the purpose of their transformation.  If we discern rightly, these encounters will lead to many saying yes to Jesus.

Media Mind Offenders

In 2020, you will see media influencers influencing the church like never before.   Much of this will come by way of Youtube. These Youtube influencers with millions of followers, are encountering God in dramatic ways.  I saw that there were leaders in the body of Christ working with these Youtube influencers behind the scenes, teaching them the word of God, praying for them, prophesying their divine destiny, and delivering them from oppression.  You will see many come out and begin to talk about their battles with depression and suicidal thoughts and how God broke in and delivered them. If the church does not have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, many will be offended.

Yes, their walk will be new, and they will mess up at times, but God’s intended purpose is to use them to reach a generation of youth that are discipled more by Youtube than by the church.  These influencers will be heralds of the goodness and reality of Jesus. There are people in youth groups all across the nation that have been secretly praying for these influencers, asking the Lord to save and heal them. The Lord is responding to the prayers of the saints.

Men’s Awakening

I heard the Lord say that He is a promise keeper, and in 2020 He was going to fulfill the promises He made to many wives, mothers and grandmothers to encounter and revive their men.  I heard the declaration of this scripture rising from the earth for men:

Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm.  Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Corinthians 15:58

Like the Promise Keepers men’s gatherings of decades ago, I saw many men’s gatherings happening around the nation. Some very large stadium gatherings that were not filled with entertainment, but with deep worship, inner healing and mass deliverance.  There are men that God has raised up in this hour that have not been seen or heard from yet because He has kept them hidden.  They are marked by prayer and consecration.  They were clothed in meekness and gentleness, praise emanated from their lips.
