14 May Why Hopefires?
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
History tells how most slave masters did not want their slaves engaging in prayer. They feared hearing God’s voice would ignite those in bondage with hope for their future, causing hearts to burn for freedom, and provoking action toward it. While in different forms, many still live in bondage today. But within prayer and the prophetic lies the power to set people free. For this reason, the ministry of HopeFires was born.
We’ve not only read about it in Scripture and witnessed it all around us; we’ve experienced the power of hope in our personal life as well. Hope for a child while struggling with infertility. Hope for loved ones to be saved. Hope for healing when confronted with death. Hope for provision when resources fell short. Hope for revival within a nation that’s strayed. This has been our journey. And the message of Christ in us—the hope of glory—has become both our anchor and arrow.
Everyday—in the face of disappointments and uncertainties—we’re learning to live anchored in hope, hungry for God’s presence, and yielded to His purposes. Soaking in worship and in The Word, we’re learning to keep the fire on the altar of our hearts burning bright. And the Lord doesn’t want us to keep all we’ve learned to ourselves!
Several years ago, we felt Holy Spirit nudging us about partnering with Him in new ways to release God’s voice and extend the ministry of Jesus. In asking about this invitation, He placed the name HopeFires on our hearts. We were amazed at how perfectly this name represents whom we’ve become and what we are called to as ignitors of hope and Holy Spirit fire for the transformation of people, cities and nations.
We love teaching others how cultivating a life of prayer and learning to hear God’s voice brings greater understanding of your identity and positions you to receive the Father’s love in a way that pushes back fear and propels you forward into your destiny.
Follow HopeFires and link arms with us to release Jesus, the hope of glory, to all the world! It’s by looking into His fiery eyes that the hopeless and broken find hope, experience healing, and discover the freedom to burn with revival fires and bring reformation to every sphere.
We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself.- Hebrews 6:19 TPT
