I was recently given a 2004 GMC Yukon XL. This makes the fourth vehicle from 2004 that I’ve owned. Three of them were gifted to us, and one my wife had prayed for a few years prior and ended up getting it at a great price right before my son’s birth. 2004 was a very spiritually active year for Melissa and I. We had many profound encounters with the Lord and received much insight and direction from the Lord that would be the catalyst to propel us into what we are walking in now. 2004 was the year that we made the decision, guided by the promptings of the Lord, to move from home (New York City) to Dallas, eventually leaving everything familiar behind to enter into an unknown land filled with promise.

Why am I giving you this personal history lesson? As I was recounting all of this, I heard the Lord say, “Do not overlook the reoccurring time periods in your history with Me because they are the signs of your time.” The Lord has laid out clues in your history with Him to things that He will do with you in your future.

It is the time to pay close attention to the coincidences that are happening around you that pertain to certain years, times and numbers. He is using these things to link to a reoccurring theme in your history for the purpose of speaking to you about the now and soon to come.

It is important to ask the Lord for wisdom in order to see the prophetic pattern and discern what He is saying through it. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” Asking for and receiving wisdom from Heaven is the dividing line between understanding and confusion when dealing with prophetic patterns.

Prayer: “Father, give us eyes to see and ears to hear what Heaven has spoken and is speaking over us in this hour. Help us to discern the prophetic patterns woven into our history with You so that we catch what You are saying for the now and soon to come. Amen.”
